honey pied kids

i know it might seem weird that i posted my pets before my kids.  but i knew it would be a longer, more detailed post, and i'm still getting the hang of this blogging thing.  :)

tyler & i are blessed to be the parents of 3 very energetic, smart, funny & "spirited" kids.

sadie lynn was born in newton, kansas on dec. 26, 2002.  tyler & i got married and moved to kansas while he was still in college.  he went to tabor college in the booming metropolis of hillsboro, kansas.  we didn't know what we were having until she came out!  (not because we didn't want to know...i can't stand surprises.  we just didn't "see" what we were having.)  the name sadie was picked 2 weeks before she came out.  my sweet sister's name is sarah, and sadie is a form of that.  before the name change, we had picked wendy for a girl (i love peter pan) and finnley for a boy (call him finn, i love great expectations).  she is now 7 going on 8.  a sweet natured second grader who doesn't always want to be the the example setting big sister, but is doing a good job at it!

tessa grace was born in corpus christi, texas on june 26, 2006.  we knew we were having girl #2 before she got here.  thank goodness!  she was a planned section and cooperated by contently staying put until the section date.  she was totally healthy and ready to go home after the required 48 hour post op stay.  i, on the other hand, was a mess!  i had never had surgery before that and it took about 6 weeks to feel like my old self.  but who cares about me?  she is 4, ready to be 5 so she can start kindergarten.  she can be the life of the party, or the hurricane who destroys the place...that's up to her, of course.  tessa has bedazzled people her entire short existance, and i'm sure she will continue to do so.

jack wyatt was born in corpus christi, texas on may 27, 2008.  our 20 week sonogram was tons of fun with this one!  there was no guessing...it was a boy!  (legs apart, pointed straight to the sky!)  haha, anyway, he was a scheduled section too...but he decided to come early.  he was born at 37 weeks and 3 days and needed some extra help.  poor bub stayed in the nicu for a whole week!  i know that's nothing compared to those teeny tiny ones who stay for months, but it was new to us and a bit scary.  what was funny about it (i tend to find humor in things when it's not appropriate...don't hate) was he weighed 7lbs 2 oz, so he was this giant baby in the nicu!  at the week mark, he passed all his tests and was ready to head home.  ptl!  now, jack is almost 2 and a half (everyone needs a half).  he is everywhere and into everything, and talking more & more every day.

praise you Jesus, from whom all blessings flow, for our beautiful healthy kids!

libby
